New on the homepage appears a row with statistic information, such as the number of mobile links, as well as a new random link, which is generated by our mobile link database.

Using the dropdown menue of our portal, you will find a new category, named "new links". Here you will get all new listed or updated mobile links at five-alive with just one click.

Last but ot least, we put our home-link right behind our logo at the top, so you will always get back to the main site of "five-alive.mobi".

Behind the scene we have merged the German and the English portal into one domain. Both are now located at five-alive.mobi.

There are also some new features at "my five-alive". With "my five-alive" you can create your own individual, mobile portal, as bookmark or even as homepage for your mobile browser. Just chooce your mobile favorite links (e.g. railroad schedule, daily news, weather etc.) and get the link to your individual mobile homepage by email or login with your user ID and password at "my five-alive" to reach your mobile portal on the go. If you lost your password, don´t worry, you will get one by email again.

So findet man nun neu auf der Startseite statistische Angaben zum Portal, wie z.B. die Anzahl der Links, sowie einen Zufallslink aus unserem mobilen Angebot.

Im Dropdown-Menue des Portals gibt es jetzt neben allen anderen Kategorien, auch eine Kategorie "neue Links", wo man alle neuen oder überarbeitetn Links auf five-alive mit einem Klick finden kann.

Zu guter letzt haben wir den Home-Link unter unser Logo gelegt, so dass man nun über "five-alive.mobi" immer wieder zur Startseite zurück findet.

Hinter den Kulissen hat sich auch einiges getan. So haben wir nun auf five-alive.mobi sowohl das englische wie das deutschsprachige Portal für unsere mobilen Nutzer zusammengefasst.

Neues gibt es auch bei "my five-alive". Auf "my five-alive" kann man seine eigene mobile Startseite fürs Handy, PDA oder Smartphone bauen. Einfach die mobilen Favorieten aus der Linksliste wählen (z.B. Bahnfahrplan, Tageszeitung, Wetterbericht etc.) und die Seite per Lesezeichen markieren oder gleich als Starseite im Handy-Browser festlegen. Den Link zur persönlichen Seite gibt es dann via eMails. Ebenso wie das Passwort, falls es mal vergessen wird.

Zu guter Letzt wollen wir noch auf die für mobile Nuzter optimierten Seiten der FAZ hinweisen, welche sich in der Rubrik Nachrichten/Deutsch finden lassen, ebenso wie der neue mobile Dienst von Brigitte online.

So, let them in. Our new entries for 2008 are the Australian WiMax provider Unwired, the "Joe Average BlackBerry" vendor IXI Mobile from Israel, well known Google and the two Swiss mobile technology companies Esmertec (JAVA Software) and U-Blox (Navigation Chips).

Therefor some other guys have to leave the party. As the two navigation specialists Navteq and Tele-Atlas, which have been taken over by Nokia and tomtom. Further do we say "Good Bye" to Finland´s F-Secure, Japan´s KDDI and Germany´s net mobile. The change will be effective from Tuesday, the first of January 2008.

[D] Wiedermal ist ein Jahr um, und neue Kandidaten klopfen an die Tür unseres five-alive wireless index. Also lassen wir sie rein.
